FYP 1 || WEEK :: 9 & 10


Title of activity: 
Do the research and  testing how to connect sensor and motor using labview.

Objective : 

  1. To find more information about the project.
  2. To understand the interface of Lab VIEW amd how to use the sofware.
  3. To investigate the advantage and limitation use the Lab VIEW as the programing.
  4. To understand the connection between sensor and motor using labview.
Content/procedure :
         For this week, we do some research about the  software  that can use to program as a control unit are interface with sensing and motor. That mean the software can be the center of interface, the input come form the sensing are give reading the in voltage then set the PID controller to control the output from the Lab VIEW for generate  the  DC motor to move what we can set.

     PID is the most commonly used feedback controller. A PID controller calculates an "error" value as the difference between a measured process variable and a desired set point. The controller attempts to minimize the error by adjusting the process control inputs. Even thought  the PID controller the as calculate the error, we can use to control of movement of DC motor and PID can control the output to be the best result follow what we set.Besidethat the we can use the error as the guideline of project  to the limitio project.


Result and analysis :
            We can analyze using the lab view, we find the advantage and limitation.  Firstly about the advantage lab VIEW did not to program the data, but we have to set and know how to use the component on the software and draw the circuit diagram of project. If connection diagram are wrong, the output cannot be display correctly.

     The limitation of software, the result no be constantly, because component cannot be calibrate properly and we need to change DAQ card. Other then that, this software not to be install on the window 7, we need to come to laboratory to test the circuit and learn.  



 This figure show the exmple of connection using PID using LDR sensor and DC motor fun.


     We use the circuit project subject industry control to learn and testing. We must do lord of  research and testing before the next semester or semester break,before  we can start  create  the project.


Conclusion :           
        We can conclude the objective of week 9 and 10 is successfully, to understand about the Lab VIEW and we must try to do the experiment and test it can make we more understand and use every each component and function the software.
